Our Educational Approach

Nurturing the whole child through play-based learning

At The Modern Achievers School, we believe that children learn best through play and exploration. Our curriculum is designed to foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

We recognize that each child is unique, with their own interests, abilities, and learning styles. Our programs are flexible enough to accommodate these differences while providing a structured framework that supports growth and development.

Our experienced educators act as guides, facilitating learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Through a balance of child-initiated and teacher-guided activities, children develop the skills and confidence they need to become lifelong learners.

Our Curriculum

A comprehensive approach to early childhood education

Language & Literacy

We foster a love of language through stories, songs, and conversations. Children develop vocabulary, phonological awareness, and early reading and writing skills in a print-rich environment.

Mathematics

Children explore mathematical concepts through hands-on activities and games. They learn about numbers, counting, patterns, shapes, measurement, and problem-solving.

Science & Discovery

Through observation, experimentation, and exploration, children develop scientific thinking skills. They learn about the natural world, physical properties, and cause-and-effect relationships.

Creative Arts

We encourage self-expression through various art forms including visual arts, music, movement, and dramatic play. Children explore different materials, techniques, and styles.

Social Studies

Children learn about themselves, their families, and their communities. They explore different cultures, traditions, and roles in society, developing respect for diversity.

Social-Emotional

We help children develop self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills. They learn to identify and express feelings, build relationships, and resolve conflicts.

Physical Development

Through active play and structured activities, children develop both fine and gross motor skills. They build strength, coordination, balance, and body awareness.

Technology

We introduce age-appropriate technology as a tool for learning. Children use digital resources to explore concepts, create, and solve problems, always with adult guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

We use positive guidance techniques that help children develop self-regulation and problem-solving skills. Our approach focuses on prevention, redirection, and teaching appropriate behaviors rather than punishment. We help children identify and express their feelings, understand the impact of their actions on others, and find constructive ways to resolve conflicts.

We take food allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously. Upon enrollment, parents provide detailed information about their child's allergies or dietary needs. We maintain a nut-free environment, and our staff is trained to prevent cross-contamination. For children with severe allergies, we develop an individualized care plan in consultation with parents and healthcare providers. We can accommodate various dietary restrictions, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options.

We believe in maintaining open and regular communication with parents. We provide daily updates through our parent communication app, sharing information about your child's activities, meals, rest periods, and special moments. We conduct formal parent-teacher conferences twice a year to discuss your child's development and progress. Additionally, we send monthly newsletters with program updates and upcoming events. Our teachers are always available for informal conversations at drop-off and pick-up times, and parents can schedule additional meetings as needed.

The safety and security of the children in our care is our top priority. Our facility is equipped with a secure entry system that requires a key card or code for access. All visitors must sign in and show identification. We maintain a strict pick-up policy, where children are only released to authorized individuals listed on the enrollment form. Our staff is trained in emergency procedures, including fire drills, severe weather protocols, and lockdown procedures. We also have security cameras throughout the facility and playground areas.

All of our lead teachers have a minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with many holding Bachelor's or Master's degrees. Our assistant teachers have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or are working toward their degree. All staff members undergo comprehensive background checks and receive ongoing professional development in areas such as child development, curriculum planning, positive guidance, health and safety, and first aid/CPR. We pride ourselves on having a team of dedicated educators who are passionate about working with young children.
